The Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the return of the annual Personality Festival, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. For nearly 40 years, this event has been a favorite for locals and visitors alike, attracting over 10,000 attendees to Uptown Roxboro each year. After an unfortunate cancellation due to COVID-19 in 2020, this former summertime event will move to the fall to honor local heritage and celebrate the vibrancy of our local community with a new theme: Bustin’ Out of Quarantine!

Dance performances are always a popular part of the annual Personality Festival in Uptown Roxboro.

This year’s one-day Personality Festival will feature traditional family-friendly activities including performances by local dancers and musical artists, delicious food trucks, unique craft and merchandise vendors, and opportunities to get to know the Person County business and civic community. New additions this year include pumpkin carving activities, children’s carnival games benefitting local nonprofit organizations, a beer garden, and special entertainment at Merritt Commons by The Pizzazz Band from 6 to 8 p.m.

Furniture Mart owner Larry Cole greets visitors during a past Personality Festival.

This event is presented by the Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce, courtesy of sponsors including Duke Energy, Piedmont Community College, and many other generous businesses and individuals. To reserve a vendor booth or to learn more, please visit roxboronc.com/personality, and check out the event on Facebook at Facebook.com/PersonalityFestival. We look forward to bustin’ out with you on Oct. 2!
